Today the kids and I made a special trip to see a very special lady that made a lasting impression on us when Elijah was born.
Let me introduce our very special lady. Even though our big boy doesn't look "thrilled" in this picture, this lady would come into our room after he was born and could calm him down or would just love on him. She is the prime example of what every Labor and Delivery and Nursery nurse should be. My family even asked her if she truly loved her job and her response was, "I love it!" And it was so evident!
She is also my lactation specialist. (You see Elijah was born in a relatively small hospital which I LOVED!) She would call me at least once a month just to see if there was anything I needed or that she could help me with not just with feeding my baby. Love it!
She always had a smile on her face and made us laugh at every chance we got. We will forever be thankful for this special lady and the many others that brought us such a wonderful experience with baby Elijah's birth!
