In 2 days our Elijah bug will be 11 months old...Where has the time gone? I have begun planning a fun family party to celebrate the momentous occasion of turning one!
We love birthdays at our house, especially me! I love to go ALL out. Unfortunately, a lot of times the costs can add up. However, there are many awesome ways to save on various things for parties. Some of my favorites are:
1. Dollar bin at Target. I love to tell my family members at least 2 months in advance my plan for a theme so everyone can be on the lookout for various sale items. Luckily this year Target carried some of the my theme items. Thanks to my sister-in-law and a sharp eye, I was able to snag all kid party favors along with some of the table decor for under $10!
2. Collect those diaper points! Yes, I collect Pampers points and have been since SG was born. Thankfully, I have reaped many rewards from this habit. One, this year, has been FREE personalized invitations from Shutterfly for the party. They may not match the theme perfectly BUT the color scheme is close and the best part was they were FREE!
3. Watch the flyers. I have been watching my grocery flyers for various ingredients that can be stored for party edibles and, most importantly, for the cake.
