Sweet Love

Daisy is loving her new brother little "Bo". She is always kissing his head and running to ask when we can wake him up. (She even helped change a "yucky" diaper.) Here are just a few pics we have captured over the last couple of days.

Baby Elijah

Our latest addition made his presence known 3 weeks prior to his due date. On Thanksgiving evening, Elijah Christopher came to join our family at 9:28 PM, weighing in at 6 pounds 2 ounces and measuring a long, lean 19 1/2 inches. Despite his early arrival and some developmental odds (white baby boys tend to develop the slowest in the womb) against him, he is doing great!

Big sister is loving him more and more each moment. To just watch her interact with him even in the hospital is amazing! She has loved some of her friends coming to see little brother because then she gets to "entertain" too!

Here are just a few snapshots of our little "Bo":

Now a family of 4! Photo taken at almost 11 PM. Can you believe SG is still awake?!

RTR

Since moving to Alabama, it was made very clear to Daddy and I that we had to "pick-a-side". For those of you not from Alabama, this translates into we had to pick whether to Roll with the Tide or Roar with the Tigers. Well, Daddy and I have been rolling with the Tide for almost 6 years now and becoming more passionate every year. We have not missed watching a game all year!

Well, this year, at 37 weeks pregnant, Mommy got her biggest wish...attending in person a Crimson Tide football game. To say we had a blast is an understatement. Daddy and I took along with us our neighbor leaving Daisy at home to have a 24-hour play date with one of her best friends. One of the things that I truly enjoyed was the fact that Alabama was playing her brother's alumni. I also got reprimanded a couple of times during the game by Daddy for a little "excessive celebration" penalties at 37 weeks pregnant. Hey! Some one had to give the Tide a little encouragement?!

All-in-all, we had a memorable time and are looking forward to more experiences like this with the Crimson Tide!

Not So Small

This past Sunday we got our final pictures from a recent family photo shoot. All I could do was stare at my not so small princess. I can't believe how much she has grown up! Here are a few from past a present:

Let Her Praises Ring

Every Thursday Daisy and I attend a Community Bible Study at our church. We love it! I especially love each week getting in the car and being serenaded by Daisy with her new Bible verse song. Well, today we, the ladies in the study, were serenaded by all the little children involved in the Bible study. Below are a couple of short video clips from our shining star's debut.

All Out of Love

Daddy loves projects! Well, I have to say myself and many other family members were a little skeptical of this latest project that Daddy took on himself...but he put all of us in the quiet corner.

The latest project was a HUGE outdoor play set for Daisy. She had worked so hard for the past year on potty training that she finally earned this play set as one of her early Christmas presents. She is psyched to say the least!

Well, the set arrived Monday afternoon and by the time I got home from work (only an hour later) Daddy had all the parts separated into the correct categories and had a really difficult time going back to work. So later that night he came home and got small parts of the play set together in the garage. The next couple of days were about the same because he could only work at night time.

Then came Thursday...An all day work day! The fort and playhouse was assembled and standing TALL and strong in our back yard! I was impressed! The following 2 days were impressive with how much he got done because by Saturday evening he was done! He did it all by himself with minimal help from Mommy.

Daisy is loving her new playground. (That's what she calls it.) The only disappointment was as Daddy got to the last step of hanging the swings and glider we discovered that the chains for the swings were missing. So Mommy promptly got on the phone with the company and sweet talked the lady (I think it helped that the company is located only a couple of hours from Mommy's birth place in Kansas.) to rush deliver the chains.

Despite the missing chains the playground is ready to be enjoyed by all of our little friends. (Hadley, don't worry we will be getting a swing for you and Elijah before Thanksgiving!) Mommy was so impressed by Daddy's hard work and dedication. Most of all, Mommy is thankful for the playground being together before Elijah's debut in our family!

Note: Pictures of our grand playground will be coming once it is enjoyed. Mommy and Daddy treated it today for winter weather!

Take 3!

We recently had a family photo session with our friend Jenny Smith. We are so excited to be adding to our family, yet marking the couple months prior to Elijah joining us are so memorable!

Enjoy!
